The packages/option list would be interesting to know (it at least has the CWP as I can see the headlight washers), and not to knock the color but I wonder if it isn't the best seller? Most buyers seem to opt for black, gray, silver, white...
Looks like the OPs X5 was unfortunately in an accident, then was CPOd right before the OP bought it (presumably in order to move it). That's probably why the price was so low. Still, beautiful car.

Yah no kidding - I'm in Seattle as well and this price just seems crazy low vs. what I see for sale around here.

My first mods were the typical ones:

- LED Coronas (I prefer the pre-led/LCI coronas with LED bulbs to the 2012+ Coronas...they're bright to the point of being obnoxious to me.)

- Black kidney grilles

- Front plate delete/bumper plugs

- Front window tint

- LED interior lights, and exterior lighting as applicable (rear plate lights, front turn signals, etc.)

- upgraded fog light bulbs

- all weather floor mats

Those are the easy ones. I've also done suspension, spacers, stud conversion, interior trim wrap, M shifter, etc. Working on exhaust now. Next will be Dinan tune. Last will be 22" wheels.

I'm very impressed at the deal you got! Love the color and M package. My 535 lease is up in May and I'm starting to look at buying a CPO'd E70 5.0, also preferably here in Denver.

Does it happen to have multi-contour seats? I have those in my F10 now and don't think I can live without them, but from what I can tell it seems like less than 10% of the E70s I look at have them.

I had been looking at 2012's because of the small updates, but thinking maybe I should just get an 11 and upgrade the coronas, etc, as was mentioned here.

I'd say it's a great deal considering I picked up a 2011 50i ($73,500 sticker) with 28,000 miles for $45,500. I'm also in NJ and prices always seem higher on east cost.

Beautiful car and it's a great price. I just picked up my wife a CPO 50i msport with 35k miles which has every conceivable option for 44500. Carbon black on oyster interior. 79,885 msrp.

How do you know this? Or are you speculating?

IMO, a price that low typically has a "catch" ...

I just looked at the original listing from Murray BMW (via Google cache since the listing has obviously been removed), then looked at the attached Carfax report.

From what the Carfax report is showing, the vehicle was bought at auction by Murray BMW, then CPOd. I thought you could not CPO a vehicle that had been in an accident, but perhaps I'm wrong.

Damn Macgyver!

I guess then the bigger question is how bad it was, but as long as it was repaired correctly it shouldn't matter.

This is all it says:

10/30/2011 New York
Damage Report Accident reported
With another motor vehicle

I assume the OP would have ran a PTG on the paint to see what panels were affected.

Thanks man.

As far as I know I do not have the contour seats. I am assuming this is the active bluster?

Hey guys sorry that I haven't replied sooner.

When at the dealer they shared the Carfax report with me and assured me that during their inspection they found no major repair work. With that being said they also told me that this was due to replacing the bumper and being that they are around $3500 the owner probably turned it into insurance. This was also their justification on CPO.

Front bumper? Has many critical components/sensors etc. in, under and around the bumper that make proper operation of the car essential ...

Rear bumper? Almost same thing .. loaded with sensors for PDC, Comfort Acces (if so equipped).

Ask for a copy of the repair order and parts list to make sure. Just FYI.

I'm not sure, but the easy way to tell is if it has an extra 1-2" section of padding on the surface of the headrest. I think the biggest attraction is that it allows the upper section of the seat to bend. Maybe they're not as much of a difference in the E70 though, just seems kind of rare for some reason.

This may be asking too much, but how much were they originally asking? Wondering how much wiggle room is in some of these prices I'm seeing online.

As for the accident, I'd think that if they just replaced the bumper and did it at the dealership, I'd have no worries.

I don't have the contour seats.

They had the price around 48k when I walked in. But the way this happened is I went in around 5pm on the last day of the month and the manager approached me and said "What do we have to do to get you in the X5 tonight? I need to sell one more car to hit quota" I argued with him that I need to have my wife look at and so on but he again asked what I wanted and I said you need to take 10k off the window price thinking he would say "Well I cant to that" but with no hesitation he replied "You go it"
It was a crazy experience.

Cannot beat that. Using Google cache I saw it was priced initially at $47,490, then they dropped it to $41,992. You squeezed them for an extra few grand and got the deal you wanted. Win win!

And also LOL at thinking all accidents get reported in the first place...I'm sure many of us have purchased CPO vehicles with unreported body damage...
