Increased battery drain and remote access stopped working?

I got a warning message on the screen yesterday about increased battery drain, and the car no longer opens closes when I pull/touch the handle. What can be the cause of that?

You may need a new battery.

Or get a trickle charger and charge your current battery, I trickle charge mine every two weeks or so.

Battery low. take a long drive or put on charger. My '13 M5 just had this few days ago. Put it overnight on Ctek 7002 charger on normal mode and 24 hours later fully charged. AGM batteries have slower discharge so a good battery should hold for quite awhile after being topped off.

If you trickle charge you might want to make sure you use the AGM setting on your charger so you don't toast it (if your battery is AGM type).

My M5 has basically sat for almost 3 months now with the dreadful northeast weather (snow, salt, sand). I usually start it and let it run for 5 or 10 minutes and roll the tires so no flats every 3 to 4 weeks but that wasn't enough and needed a charge.

If you still get it after a charge your battery likely needs replacement

Had the same issue off and on.....dealer checked and battery charged to 35 percent overnight. New battery fixed everything. Btw, the battery was so weak that the comfort access locked the doors even though the key was inside the truck, which locked us out during a snow storm......lesson learned on things not being fool proof.

I had the same issue. Battery was dead, replaced and no problems since.

The issue went away by itself. I think it might have been because the car sat for like a week or two due to crap weather here in NYC.
