Fair price for lowering spring install?
I got quoted a price of 720 for a 1.2" h&r drop kit + install + alignment. I am up in canada so prices are a little more money but is this price way out there or fair?
Thanks |

It's about a 4 - 5 hour install, maybe more if you don't have the air suspension in the rear. Not sure what local labor rates are.

I'm not sure how much different the Dinan kit is for the X5M, but Dinan quotes 8.5 hours at $155/hr!
I'm going to another suspension shop I'm comfortable with and they're quoting 8 hours at $95/hr. Not sure if this helps or puts it in perspective for you. |

Are you saying that the $720 includes the price of the spring kit? If so, that's a pretty decent deal.

I think they include alignment hours in the installation estimate. I installed earlier version of Dinan kit and paid for about 3.5 - 4 hours not including the alignment. And I think that was fair hours (not the best deal but not the over charge either).
