Hey JamieA, I have a bit of sad news. BMW still have not contacted me to confirm their previous contact with me to notify that my car would be ready by last Friday. I expected to hear something over the weekend. The other is that the buyer for my E46 said he would have the money today (sunday). He will have the money ready tomorrow which is a little late but not a big problem. He actually told me his finance is not arranged but if worse comes to worse he would put it on his credit card. Looks like it may be a tuff task to collect my car tomorrow but Im really going to try to make it happen. Just like the bumper sticker says "Magic happens" haa lol. Im will be crossing my fingers and toes that this will happen. So i can post the pictures as promised tomorrow but most off all so i can drive around like this

Hope he comes through for you mate. If he uses his CC, I guess you will make sure he pays you the merchant fees, unless he is doing a cash advance... would be interesting at the ATM

Im going for the cash advance on this one or bank cheque. Ill probably end up paying the dealer cash myself as even a bank cheque doesnt clear instantly these days.

yeah tell me about it and then they have the hide to tell you that it will take 3 days to clear when its suppose to be cash. I might just pull it straight out of my account and give the dealer a big wad of cash and let them deal with that crap... BMW wont release until cleared funds recieved so i guess they cant say NO if i give them cash. Mate cant sleep on the eve of the E90 birth

I seem to have become and insomniac recently.... I go through periods of this, this time around was caused by the BMW purchase, and probably also coindicing with leaving my then partner. Now I only have the cat to keep me company

JamieA I need your help mate! Frenchy's finance fell through, I was thinking that 4 days to arrange finance on a car loan was i bit of a stretch. Man im so dissapointed, i should be posting pics of my e90 instead im telling that i still have my e46. I feel like just trading the damn thing in. This private selling is dragging out longer than i can handle. I know that I will be getting alot more if i sell it myself which is the catch. The dealer initially put a condition of sale would be that i had up until the end of the month to sell my car privately or they will take it as a trade in but for less money of course. Do you think i should just trade it in and lose a potential 2-4k or should i stick it out with this guy so he can get rejected from a few more finance company. I must admit its very tempting to trade in but i feel wasteful considering I could make easy money if i have patience. this e90 fever is making me think irrationaly so your opinion would be nice to hear, not that i will base my desicion on that opinon just would like to hear it.

Signed Mad mad mad mad loopy George

I would stick it out, but then again I am not the one who is literally hours away from delivery (I can almost taste it). I think that in a month's time you will look back and regret it if you get screwed on your trade-in

Thanks costa, I think you are right. Ive got the feva but I guess sensible straight thinking is whats required. I just hope this guy applies with a more "friendly" finance companies.

Taste it..man i didnt sleep on Sunday night, took the day off only to be denied because of my buyer. I can smell, taste, see but not touch....

Temptation is a hell of a thing.

Hey dude - are you sure his finance fell through ? Only reason is that I have heard of poeple using their finance/bank to weasle out of deals before - admitedly, the case I heard of was a house, where the guy actually asked his banker to reject his loan application because he had changed his mind about buying.

I know this is "black hat" conspiracy stuff, but it may be worth asking some hard questions. Heck you are entitled to, aspecially since he was committed to buying off you.

Yeah well the guy seemed pretty trustworthy, he left me a cash deposit and has called me to let me know whats happening. He doesnt want to weasel out on the contrary he asked me if i know of any finance companies that could help him out. (He has recently moved from France) could be tuff to get a credit history. Thanks for the heads up.

Aussie, you are not talking to the most patient man in the world - for $2k, I would cut my losses and trade it, for $4k I would wait.

What price your anguish mate???
