Can anybody find anything concrete on the improved ambient lighting? The lighting in the C class is awesome and I'm hoping they step it up in the LCI but I can't find any details besides "improved ambient lighting".

All I could see is that the LED pipes are now around the central console as well. However, the effect hugely depends on the color of the interior. If it's black, like mine, you can barely see the lights.

I read in another message board that pricing has been released for the 2016 320i and xDrive, 328i/d xDrive, and 340i and xDrive, and to expect the ordering guide very soon. Anyone here have any details?

My dealer called yesterday and told said pricing has not been released yet.
Edit: appears M3/4 pricing was released today. Last edited by Oaktree; 05-28-2015 at 02:38 PM.. |

thank you. My math sucks, someone please confirm this for me so I can better compare with the $52k C450 AMG...... I would be ordering: 340i M Sport Manual Leather Base paint option Top of the line audio Hell, throw in the rear view camera and fancy ass headlights too. HOW MUCH?? Does anyone else think that...
(a) the headlights look a bit funny because the inner horizontal piece doesn't line up with the cut edge of the inner light? (b) the tail lights look like they're trying to be more like the Mercedes CLA? Personally, I think the current F30 looks better. Love the corona rings (a BMW hallmark) and the straighter tail lights. My only wish would be to have the LED turn signal on the top of the front headlight. |

After pricing out similar options between 335i and 340i, the 340i appears to cost very similar or even a little less than the 335i. That's good news for most of us :-)

I'm looking at the order sheet, I didn't find any DHP. Did they change the name? I'm looking at 340xdrive with ZLP. The only thing pic my interest was 2VF-Adaptive M suspension. My only question, does it make any differences in XDrive?

It changes the shocks, but not the ride height, if that's what you're asking about. |

I don't think that's true. The fine-print reads that it needs either the Track Package (included) or the M-Package (ZMP), where it is a $700 extra.

I think it's a price decrease if you wouldn't have picked the Premium package for the 335xi. But you also lose some standard features, like adaptive headlights which are now $800 extra. otoh, you get LED (non-adaptive standard).
Base price 335xi (45750) 340xi (47800) Premium: was 2200, but leather now is standalone 1450. So if you get leather you are pretty much back at the old price (47200). But you also get Sport and the Sport automatic standard another (1700 + 500) = 2200 value increase. So [335xi + Premium + Sport] was more expensive than [340xi + Leather]. And if you don't care for leather you save quite a bit, but also lose the leather. It also loses some options, like the standalone High-beams (250), for which you now have to shell out 800 in the lighting package (which also gets you adaptive headlights). [335xi + Premium + Sport] = 49650 equipment wise seems similar to [340xi + Leather + Lighting] = 50050. So there it's an increase. You also can't get the DNH (1000) option anymore but have to go to the track package (1700), which gets you the m-brakes additionally (used to be 650). So that's roughly equivalent. The tech package dropped ~400 in price. tl;dr I'm keeping with my 335xi/Sport/Leather/dnh ED order. |

Oh, and it looks like for option 840 (increased top speed) you either need to get ZMP or shell out an $900 in addition to the track package. That used to be "free" in the Sport Package.
