3M carbon fiber wrapping??? Which parts??? It is real 100% Carbon Fiber wrap in original OEM parts, they call it wet Carbon Fiber lamination. It does add a little weight and it is purely for cosmetic reason not performance.

Just an update of my Carbon Fiber Lamination project. Had been inform by Robson Design Singapore that the rest of the parts is ready. That is the lower front, rear, side bumper and the fog light parts. It is purely for cosmetic reason no performance added. Here are some photo of the finish products.
Thank you for viewing

Here are some more update picture. Recently added is the rear side and lower bumper and also the fog light surrounding. Should have the front done too but unfortunately I drop the front lower bumper bar hard really hard on the floor and it had crack line. I had sent it back to Robson Design in Singapore to do some touch up.
Next to be done is the 4 wheel fender and may be also the mud flap. Thank you for viewing. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Just receive confirmation from Robson design Singapore that my wheel fender are ready to ship. Here are some picture of the wheel fender. From the picture, I personally see the wheel fender carbon fiber lamination is very nicely done to my expectation. Area where it should be laminated with CF is finish as the same original wheel fender thickness. Area should be increase has been increase and area should be left level with the original thickness is archive. Well done.
Thank you for viewing

Hello guys,
First of all I would like to compliment the modifications of Minime388 and Audioquest. Really nice job. I have an X6 to and I really like the side step in carbon and the carbon fenders.Did you made it by yourself or can I buy it also at Robson Design? And my question for Mineme388 the carbon door handles is that originally from Mansory? Could you please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks, Fraan |

Hi Fraan,
Thank for the compliment. No, I did not do it by myself and I don't have the skill to do it too. The parts are original from my car and sent to Robson Design Singapore to get the Carbon Fiber laminated. The job Robson Design done are TOP Notch no question about it. Not to mention the fine detail they look into. They are a very experience company. Because X6 is still not a very popular car to do Carbon Fiber on OEM Parts yet, Robson Design in Singapore has not start a parts exchange progam yet. Usually they do it on more popular model, example E36 and the E46. Please visit their website to see those parts exchange program. http://www.robson-design.com/ From what I know Minime388 did it himself. But you still need to confirm it with him.

Hello Audioquest,
Thanks for the quick response. I have an other question to you. The rear diffusor of you is not the same as the one that Vertice design is offering. I don't like the one of vertice.. Yourz looks great what did you do to it? P.s I saw an X6 diesel on youtube making petrol sound It's incredible.. Search for hamann echappement exhaust Something like that. Fraan |

Hi Fraan,
The rear diffuser is also done by Robson Design in Singapore using the original OEM rear diffuser and they built the fins into it and than cover it in Carbon Fiber.
