X6 M Radar Detector Hardwire

New to the forum, looks great.

In the overhead console (lights, sunroof, etc.) what wire do I need to tap for switched 12V?

Most appreciated.

I just took my 2010 x6m to a good local stereo installation shop and they ran a power wire above the door sils to the fuse box in the rear and grounded it above the map light panel. I have the BEL GX 65 mounted just to the left of the rear view mirror. I love it there!!! I prefer to spend the $60 for an hour of labor than screw it up myself. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I was able to figure it out. I also mounted my Valentine One to the left of the mirror on the visor. Good visibility from the drivers seat...hard to see from the outside!

You can get power from the fuse panel in the passengers side foot well ( remove the three screws) . I taped into this for my escort 9500ci and laser interceptor jammers. There are a couple of unused ones there , the guide is folded up and stuck on the side of the rear fuse panel. guide covers front and back fuse panels. you can use a fuse tap to easily get power.
