Snowflake Icon & Air Conditioner
I am sure this is a stupid question but.....
2009 X5 4.8 - I live in Florida and this morning I got a snowflake looking icon on the dash cluster and then it disappeared. The temp was 37. No big deal. For grins, I tried to run my AC and could not get the fan to blow. Is this related in that if it is cold enough to warrant the snowflake icon what fool would want his AC on so we, BMW, don't allow it to be turned on? Thx |

The 'cold weather warning' chime comes on at 37 degrees or below in every BMW for a while now. It's just a warning that there could be icy conditions, that's all.
In regards to the A/C, that should not be the case, unless you have your hot/cold wheel set to hot.
