Eco credit terms?
Hey all,
I see in the current X5d eco credit offer that it is $4500 off the final purchase through 1/4/2010. If I do an order, when does the car need to arrive by? I heard one salesman say something about the end of February, but I can't find anything actually written down. Anybody know when delivery must occur to get the $4500? Thanks, BoB |

I do not know, but when the eco credit was first extended to November 30, 2009, you only had to have the order confirmed with a production slot/number number by BMWNA to secure the eco credit. Maybe the same is true for the January 4th date? If so, then you should go down and order your car at the dealer no later than next week so that the dealer can secure a production number for you by the end of the month (I am told the production numbers/slots are allocated near the end of each month).

I ordered the X5 35d in November and my sales just told me today it's been put on a train and will arrive California after Christmas. I got mine for $1800 below invoice (after eco credit discounted). My sales guy told me if there is an allocation spot available for X5 35d production and you order your car before 1/4/2010, you should be fine. But I've heard different things from different dealers around socal, I guess some of them are tellling untrue stories just to gain business...

We will probably never know for sure, but I think to be safe anyone that wants this deal should order this month and make sure they secure a production # by January 4, 2010. Ordering at your dealer is not the same as actually securing a production number.

Just to follow up. I just ordered an X5d!!!! The terms were that you had to have a customer ordered (i.e. not dealership to stock) production number by 1/4/10. I've got mine all set. Got a deal I'm happy with and can't wait for the torque!
