performance upgrade?

Hello guys,

I have questions about the "performance upgrade" for X6 2010. is it a ECU modification? can I add it later? since I already got my new X6. is there any side affect?

Thanks

Most likely it will eventually be available thru a dealer. My guess is that it is just simply a flash done at the spartanburg that increases boost a little. If BMW was smart they would offer this for $1500 to all existing owners as well!

Did you go by Classic or BMW of Dallas? I have to take my X in for service at Classic next week because my "Engine is Hot" light comes on everytime I start the vehicle regardless of cold start from sitting overnight or hot start. I am going ask my service advisor because he is the specialist for all Dinan and performance upgrades.

Does your dealer have definite information that it's only an ECU upgrade? Cause if it's that simple, it wouldn't make sense not to offer it through dealers. I'm positive that many owners will be interested in the added performance without voiding the warranty.
