Affordable exhaust setup for 50i??

I can't seem to find an affordable cat back exhaust system for my 50i. Either the company makes only systems for the X5M or 35i or they make a $2K-$5K system. I have never seen such a wide price range for exhaust setups. I like the Eisenmann, but just can't pay that much for some bent tubes and a few hours of engineering, trial and error, and jigs that went into it. Note: Affordable to ME means less than $1,000 for a cat back system, maybe a resonator delete and x pipe add-in. I've seen a couple roll-your-own systems that were ok, but don't have an exhaust shop that will modify the exhaust the way they did. This is California, and most mechanics are weary of the smog police.

I recommend first going with an x-pipe, then go from there. You might like it at that point. Then perhaps ask your exhaust guy regarding options, they should be able to put together a nice setup for less than your budget. Exhaust sounds are subjective, tell your exhaust guy what your looking for and they can make recommendations.
