Engine Drive Belt Replacement Cost
Hello guys,
I have a 2012 Bmw x6 50i. I need to replace both of my Engine drive belts and BMW is charging $572 total. $127 for part and $405 for labor. I thought changing drive belts doesnt take long to do it or its because the n63 engine is so crowded and they need to drop the engine to do it? Any information will be appreciated. |

You need to pull and drain the radiator to change the drive belt.
A new belt costs about $30 and another $40 in coolant and could probably be changed in an hour and a half to 2 hours ... really isn't difficult at all to do other than the tensioner pulley has some really insane tension. $572 is crazy for just a belt replacement |
