"High" mileage X5M maintenance schedule
My 2010 X5M is off warranty and I will be taking it to an independent shop. Could someone point me to a resource on regular scheduled and preventative maintenance that I could keep up with? Thanks in advance.

Here's the USA manual version which has some info.
http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...antyBooks.aspx I have the Canadian one but only on paper. The main difference is that the brakes aren't covered in Canada. You use the CBS (Condition Based Service) as an indicator. Also, there's the bmw.ca website and some info in the owner's manual which don't tell much http://www.bmw.ca/en/topics/owners/v...rotection.html As for long term, the editor of Roundel Magazine, Mike Miller, has a lifetime maintenance Schedule. Version 03.13 is easily found on the web with Google... |

Forget CBS protocol. As per gan23 - Mike Miller's recommendations for long life ownership. Have used this since the 80's, and never had an engine or drivetrain failure on all of my BMWs - each with over 100K miles on them.
Some skeptics have dismissed MM as overkill and waste of money. Me?? I love my cars and always want them to be in tip top shape.
