No issues! I've put like 15k miles on it. As an example of how fast and fun this thing is...I raced a JB4 335i on Map4 down in mexico from 50mph up to 140mph and pulled him each time all the way to the top and I had a passenger

just 2 issues lurking on my head thesedays, 1- Biodiesel (I live in Chicago yeah.. where state gives tax rebate on B20 or higher, something like that.. every gas station has biodiesel for the fact.. now I found one with petro diesel at Meijer's) 2- Swirl Flap failures - these if become lose can throw the screw right into the chamber and damage engine, if you're tuned might wanna just take them out ? http://www.bmwforums.info/general-gu...irl-flaps.html

Also those swirl flaps (that fail) are Europe only. By the time the 335d and x5 35d came over,we had the updated swirl flaps, they are not a issue anymore. |

Foods 4 Less stores, Sam's Clubs, Meijers (as mentioned), Mobil Stations on toll road oasis, Shell stations that sell Shell branded diesel (doesn't have label -"This is not a Shell Product") have less than 5% biodiesel per my email exchange with Shell Customer Care. A small percentage of biodiesel is good in that it increase lubricity while also increasing mileage per a Consumer's Report comparison a Edmunds long term test of a Passat TDI http://www.edmunds.com/volkswagen/pa...n-results.html http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/2...-oil/index.htm |

Little update...put roughly 35k Miles on this now with the tune and delete...gets 28-30mpg highway and averages 24mpg mixed throughout SoCal. Put a new set of tires on it this week and did an oil change along with new front pads/rotors and new rear pads...first time I've had to do anything maintenance related off warranty. Towed a small trailer with a quad last week and got 25mpg doing 80mph. Love this thing!

Anyone have any further feedback on the BPMSport tune? Really curious, because that guy has a great reputation in the E9x M community. I emailed him a couple days ago with some related questions, but have yet to hear back.

For anyone who's done this themselves...how on earth did you get the DPF out? I have the motor mount and bracket out of the way, everything is disconnected - I just can't get it out. Any tips?

The DPF on my 335d came right out. Haven't done my X5d yet. There are some that say to jack the engine way up. Most say to drop the subframe. Any luck?

I went back and forth with who to go with for the tune and deletes, but wound up sourcing everything through Andrew/AARodriguez...the Buzzken DP/SCR combo is about the same price as most other DP's alone, so that was a deciding factor. I was pretty much indifferent on the tune, but since Andrew is also a retailer for Jarek I just went that route for one-stop shopping. Happy so far! |

Yeah, I have felt like that before. More and more the older I get haha. Wife wants me to get a lift. Glad you got it out. Heard it is a real bitch. I went with Jarek Stage 2 on my 335d and the tune has been awesome. I had to piece my exhaust together at that time. Add shipping to Canada for my DDE and it got pretty expensive. I went with BPC in NC for my wife's X5d and we will see how the tune compares once I install. I had them tune/clone a DDE and make a downpipe in February. We are hearing good things about Andrew on the e90 M57 board. Seems like a good guy, and it is nice to have a one stop shop offering Jarek's tune. Appears Andy is very competitive on parts and tunes. So... think dropping the subframe is best? Where did you have to cut the DPF? |

I had to cut the differential sensor tubes off, as well the the upper mounting bracket. If you want to salvage the DPF for future use, I think you have to drop the subframe. Maybe ask one of the shops that does these installs more regularly, but I just don't know how you could get the DPF out without also ruining it.
