hole in tire is it fixable

Was losing air slowly. Upon removing tire found this.can this be plugged or patched? Tire is farely new with a lot of meat left.Is 18" Michelin PSS

Also the size of hole is 1/16". Very small if that helps

Probably you won't get anyone to patch it, as it's on the edge of the tread. Not enough substrate/layers under that point to retain a plug. If you can find a shop willing, you can patch it from inside - a plug just won't work on that.

Yeah I prefer a patch over a plug,wasn't sure what was possible considering where it is.

Its too close to the edge, you will have a hard time finding somebody that want to do the job, for reasons that it will probably fail and is possible liability if you crash as a result.
