What makes you think this black car has a sport package? These SEVEN spoke wheels look the same front to back to me, and are not particularly low in profile. The silver car in the Brenda Priddy pictures has staggered wheels. I was assuming that the silver car had the sport package; though those tires are also pretty standard in sidewall height.
The rims on the silver car are quite a bit different front to back. They are both FIVE spoke rims, but the offset is quite a bit different (front to rear), and the spokes themselves are very different. They are so different in fact, I was wondering if they are even of the same matched set… If it sounds like I have been staring at these pictures with a magnifying glass; well, it’s almost the case. I’m really looking forward to seeing this car in full production metal without any camouflage… if asked; I’d have to say that from here, this looks like my first BMW..!!! |

Yo JJ... those are in no way 'poor pictures'... they are most excellent 'spy photos'! I'm pretty impressed if that is just a camera phone... you've given us several new things here:
--These are the first i've seen with real running boards - can't say i really like them; they seem perhaps a bit out of character on a crossover... but i guess they look okay. They'll be easy enough to step over / avoid, since the ride height is a bit lower than the X5. --We now see chrome rings around the grill and chrome accents around the fog lamps... nice touch... --This is the first car i've seen with luggage rails on top... again, not sure i like the addition, but i kind of expected it... This car looks very nearly full production ready... i really hope we see the formal unveiling in Frankfurt next month. The only thing i still haven't seen is a rear window wiper... you think they would design this car without a rear wiper?? The other X vehicles have rear wipers... but i don't think the 6-series coupe does... that car has just as large and long-raked rear glass... ??? Thanks for posting!.. Please snap a few more if you get a chance!!! |

I also thought the same as you guys at the first time. I said "oh , this shouldn't be a bmw, not this one". But then after looking it again, and again, it started to grow on me. Now I find it absolutely beautiful. Its a phenomenal car for me now
I m pretty sure that this happened to you when they released the 5 series...
