Active Autowerke | X5M / X6M / X 50i 3" Catless Downpipes
Active Autowerke ![]() ![]() A turbo impeller wheel speed is mostly limited by the exhaust back pressure within the system. If one could eliminate some or most of this exhaust back pressure, the turbo will spool that much faster and effortlessly resulting in quicker engine revs and increase HP. The Active Autowerke Signature down pipe is designed with the intent to maximize in power. The down pipes are created with the least amount of restrictions possible by utilizing a full 3" piping throughout with the least amount of bends possible, that is impressive when compared to the factory diameter of 2.50". What you will experience is a faster, more responsive engine because the turbo impeller now has the ability to spool that much faster. The end result is more power. For added durability, factory like support braces are also implemented to alleviate stresses upon the turbos. Made from 304 stainless throughout ensures a robust and durable exhaust that will provide trouble free performance with the longevity to match. note: designed for off-road use, car will have CEL without Active Autowerke Software Upgrade for Off-Road use http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=669035 Key Features: - Fits all 4.4l Turbo Engines M & Non M -Designed with less restrictive curves and more straight flows -30+ HP Gains -Full 3.00" diameter piping throughout allows for maximum power output -Quicker turbo spool -Durable construction from 304 stainless with 1.50mm wall thickness -Precise fit installation |

So that a full 3 inch piping all the way through and doesn't taper down to a smaller size on both ends? In addition, how much louder does it make the car over stock since their is no resonators?

No not with a stock exhaust. The carbon build up will be very minimal with the rear cans in place.

Does this pair well with the Akrapovic EVO? Do you offer a ceramic coating? Just trying to find my best option. Plan on doing DP's now and Akrapovic EVO down the road. Looking at AR Design, Ultimate, etc, and cant tell which is most important: resonators, hi-flow cats, flex sections, ceramic, etc. I have purchased AA stuff before (Supercharger kits and software) and love the quality and product. Just need some help making a decision :-/

how much for a set for a 2010 X5M? It seems that on your website, the one's for a 2010 are listed under the 5.0 downpipes and they go for $1,299? 2010's have the bolt flanges right?
