USA TPMS Sensors compatible w/Euro Model vehicles?
hello everyone, im ordering USA wheels and they offer me to include TMPS option , i'm wondering if these TMPS will be compatible with my Euro Import BMW X6??? or do i require specific euro tmps sensors??? or EURO model don't use TMPS, im quite lost, anyone know please share knowledge. many thanks!

Your car already has ABS sensors as it came equipped with ABS (anti-lock brakes) from the factory. They are part of suspension, not on the wheels, so you don't have to buy them.

what does ABC have to do with Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) .. this last suppose to show tire pressure...

When you have ABS, you have sensors on each wheels that calculates the rotation so when braking, the system will know if a wheel turns slower than the others, so brake pressure will be released to prevent an incident.
Those sensors aren't used when the brakes are not depressed, so BMW used them to calculate the rotation while driving. If a wheels turns more than another, the tire's marked as running low on air, thus the TPMS light's turned on... We use the same here in Canada. |

Usually, one thing that points you in the right direction: Look to see if your wheel valves are rubber or metal. Metal: Usually TPMS sensors (and I'm not talking about a chrome jacket, here). Rubber: No TPMS sensors.
