Updating Navigation System
Not having any luck with the search function. How do I update the maps on the navigation system on my 2010 X6 ActiveHybrid? Can it be done by the dealership only or is it something I can do with a CD or DVD?

I think that the 2010+ X6s with hard drive-based navigation, like yours, can only be updated by the dealer. There is the possibility, though, that you can purchase new map DVDs from BMW's website and do the upgrade yourself; I'm just not certain that you'll get the absolute latest and greatest version, and it seems complicated. See this below thread. Plus, when the dealer does it, they may be able to install any other software updates to the iDrive computer.
