Anybody know what size spacers I will need to put 18" rims on my 08 4.8i with sport package and the staggered style 214 20" stock setup? I wanna pick up a winter wheel and tire set in a narrower tire and found some locally on craigslist that are a good deal off 2011 x5, tire size 255/55 18, but don't know what size spacers I will need to get them to clear the calipers.

So, u want the winter setup to sit about the same as the 20's as without spacers the wheels will look sucked in right?

As only a guess, i would say 20mm on all wheels.

I just pickup up some 17.5mm for the rear and 10mm for the front as i feel the 20's with flares are still sunk in too much. I will post some pics once i get them on, the wheel bolts for the front are still backordered.

Good luck,

Thanks for the replies. I honestly don't care how they will look, I just need the wheels to clear the larger calipers with the sport package.
Haris, I do like the look of those. The spacing is nice and the overall stance looks great. Maybe I will get some 30mm's. Should be a bit more stable with a wider stance. Thanks again guys.

The calipers are definitely larger on the 4.8i than on the 3.0. And I was also told by the dealer that with the sport package they're even bigger.
