My Remus exhaust...
... will be delivered on Friday. This is a US Sound and not the European Homologated on with less sound.
To bad I will be traveling for work/testing, but I will try and get it to the dealer to have installed so it's ready when I return home! Duffy at Maxmoto in San Fransisco has them. Great to deal with and speedy. Cheers! |

lol, no for sure the BMW S1000RR is not available anywhere in the world yet, I have just been testing it. The Remus is for the X6! I hope it makes it sound as good as it looks?!
has anyone heard of the "exhaust resignator" being removed from the right pipe, next to the Cat. Converter? Supposedly the E90's sound great with it removed. Due to our exhaust being parallel with bumper lik ethe E90, I have heard it can be done....?! Cheers! |

Does it sound any louder or throatier than stock? I really like to sound of the stock exhaust and I am having a hard time convincing myself to change but I probably will eventually after I get a software tune.

It isn't drastically louder, but I do notice it idles louder when at red lights, etc. I can hear it over the radio, which I didn't before. Also, more importantly, it definitely has more power and it just feels like it breathes better. I don't know if it's coincidence, but the gas mileage seemed to go up a bit after getting it installed.
We were hesitant to get it because we liked the stock exhaust tips. But, these are definitely growing on me. You won't be disappointed! |

Thank you, I cannot wait to get home and test them. I have been beyond busy testing the new BMW S1000RR here in the states. It is a true M car on two wheels!
I look forward to hearing the Remus and enjying it. The tips I was afriad of not being as nice as stock, but they look really nice and my girlfriend has already received many compliments after starting it up and sound it makes initially! This Remus was purchased through www.maxmoto.com with ZERO issues and great service. N8! |

Home now, finally drove my X6 with the Remus exhaust. I can say the sound is very mellow and rather tame. More than the stock, but not drastically. There is a noticeable midrange drive and she can breath much better. CAI next as an upgrade.
I would like my X6 to sound the way it looks. A throatier sound is what I am looking for. There is a "mid resonator" in the right tube next to the Cat on the left. Has anyone removed theirs? Its just a resonator and I dont see how it could throw a cell. Its just there for sound deadening. Cheers! |

The mid resonators, Teff did you have to cut then remove and weld back into place? How invilved is it to remove the mid resonators? Does it come out easily?!
Thank you in advance, N8! |

i`ve cut them, and weld empty pipe in their places as if they were never there, just a pipe from the catalitic-converter all the way back to the final exhaust.
It`s not hard to do it, it takes about 40min. First find out what diameter does your exhaust pipe has (mine has 63mm), then cut the mid resonators, and weld pipe in their places. Good luck man. ps: sorry for my bad english |
