Can't Wait Till I Get My X6!
I ordered a 2011 X6 35i on Monday 7/19. I have been tracking the progress on the BMW website as well as the phone number. It has been over a week now and it still says on order and scheduled for production with no production date. I am getting really antsy. It seems like others builds went quicker.
Anyway here's the option list Deap Sea Blue Metallic Oyster interior Dark Bamboo wood Premium Package Technology Package Sport Activity with 20" upgrade (it's just a must in this car) Heated front seats Running boards Comfort Access |

Hi,
I feel your pain. I just ordered mine too last week Tuesday 7/20. I ordered the following: Alpine White Oyster leather Dark Bamboo wood Premium Package Technology Package Sports Activity with 20" rim HUD Running boards Space saver spare. They said is has been scheduled but no confirm date. Have you asked your dealer what is the expected delivery, they should have something like week of 33. |

Hi x6sy,
It actually took a little longer than normal because of the Performance Center Delivery (PCD). I got everything squared away with the dealer in first few weeks of June and I got a production date in early July. But I wasn't able to schedule my PCD until Aug 5th. The PC had July 27th available at the time, but that date did not work with my schedule. So my car has actually been waiting for me at the PC for a few weeks.

No! just checked the website and called the number still says on order on the site and vehicle is scheduled for production with no production date. This Monday will be officially 2 weeks since I ordered the car. How long does it take for the factory to build the car?
X6sy, did you get your production date yet? Last edited by Joeko23; 07-29-2010 at 12:43 PM.. |

Hey guys, the web site is really slow. You can't really go by that. Calling them on phone is much better. They are able to tell you at what stage the car is in.
I live in NY and it took less than 3 weeks to get mine. Good luck and Congrats!!! |

I call the 800 number and it says the same thing, vehicle scheduled for production with no production date. If BMW builds an X6 in 1 or 2 days then me and 6Xsy will get our X6 in 3 weeks also. LOL

In the same boat here. Ordered on 7-22 and status via the automated phone system is "scheduled for production with no confirmed production date". When I talk to a live person, all they can tell me is that the order was accepted on 7-22. The website shows it as being "on order" and is still showing the wrong colors. Ugh!
It would almost be better if you couldn't follow the progress - at least then I wouldn't obsess over it. Here are my car stats: X6 35i -premium -premium sound -sport -tech -cold weather -HUD -Comfort access -20" style 214 wheels -running boards -vermillion red -oyster with dark bamboo Keep the updates coming! Hey Kevin, I agree with you, I thought this tracking thing was going to be fun, but now it's rediculious because nothing is happening! Anyway for the first week on the BMW website, when I put in my order number it said that my vehicle was an X5. That just shows how slow the site is.
I really wanted to get the Vermillion red with oyster, but my wife said the red is too bright and would be too flashy. So my second pick was the deap sea blue and oyster. Now everytime we see the X6 in Vermillion she regrets it. It sucks that no dealerships stock these vehicles, its hard to pick a color if you don't actually see it in person until it arrives at the dealership. |

If it hasn't started production, you can still make changes to the color can't you? The Deep Sea Blue is a great color too. I didn't consider it only because the car I just got rid of was a similar color and I wanted something different.
My status this morning was unchanged btw. I want my car. Now. |
