Unstable idle engine speed and FRM2 Module

I have a question that hopefully someone can answer or at least comment on. Approximately four months ago I noticed that my X5 E70 was not keeping a steady engine idle speed when you initially start the car. After a while it would stabilize and all be just fine. So I took it to BMW of SF to get fixed. At the dealership they replaced FRM2 (Footwell Module) and charged me $800 for the repair, since car now has 51k miles on it. Well, now I have 2 issues, where before there was only 1. Now my Locating Lights (which are 1/2 of the interior light in the vehicle) are not working (9CBB fault code in FRM2 module) plus the original problem of unstable idling engine speed is still there. It was never fixed.

My question is this, what does the FRM2 (Footwell Module) has anything to do with engine idle speed stability? What should I do to get both of these issues resolved? I am afraid to take it back to the BMW of SF, they may add more problems to the 2 that's already there.

Thank you in advance for all your comments/suggestions ...
