Maybe the only reason we are not getting a specific answer is that this motor is not a "high revving" motor and it does not require the "special oil"? I looked at the main manual (p243) several times it's a bit ambiguous. The main manual is a manual for both regular x5/6 and M so it's not like it's the wrong manual. But a lot of us are used to using the TWS for M cars and having the manual being specific on which oil to use. Just to add to the confusion, I have heard of dealers filling M cars with wrong oils before. It does happens. I am going to call BMW NA and see if I can find an answer when I get a chance.
