That is sure true hear in the U.S.
I have seen reports of the MPG the diesel gets in Europe. When I removed 20% for the Imperial gallon conversion, and another 10-20% for the additional cost of diesel in the U.S., and the several thousand dollars more for the diesel engine, I realized there would never be a win. It would actually cost me more in the long run.
