Hi all,

Been a very long time since I have posted on here, and then it was in the 335 and 650 forums....

Anyway, right now I daily drive a H1, was trolling craigslist and saw a 01' X5 4.4 for 4K. Pics look like it is is good shape. I was thinking of scope this up just to have a smaller alternative from time to time from the H1.

I have been trying to read up on common problems with the x5s, but all I have found is very minor stuff: no AM radio, steering wheel squeaks, bumper sticks out unevenly, noises brakes, etc...

I am wonder more in the major mechanical side if there is any thing I should look for. I am handy with a wrench and pretty comfortable working on BMWs. But I don't want to buy in to a money pit that could have been avoided....the H1 is a money pit to last several lifetimes.
