IMHO, it looks better if the coverage does not go into the lower rocker panel (just like on the 911)
I also did cover the rear fender flares with 3M Di-Noc material but did not cover the lower rocker panel (you can still use clear 3M if you want), it just looks better to me (the dark color contrast)
