I have this annoying metallic rattling that seems to be related to the CCC navigation unit in the center of the dash. I've taken the dash apart a ridiculous amount of times trying to fix it. It seems to only happen on rough roads or bumps and when it's cold out (around 60 degrees or less). Sometimes it gets better or worst when I put pressure on the control panel.

I've tried stuffing foam tape in various spots on the navigation unit but can't seem to pinpoint the damn rattle and it's driving me nuts. Why would BMW make the entire casing of the navigation unit out of thin metal?

Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix this?
