To replace the fog lamp housing, you simply need to take two hands, put them on the housing piece and pull the middle of it away from the car (towards you) and they pop right out. Then just take the black ones and pop them in place.
In order to swap out the gray pieces in the grille, under the bmw kidney grilles, follow the steps I posted in the link below:
