Incorrect. A vehicle can most certainly be CPO if it's been in a wreck. There was a guy on here that bought a 50i M Sport for a great price. When we looked at the Carfax report, it had been in an accident. The dealership CPO'd the vehicle, probably so the car would move.

I believe (don't quote me on this) that up to three panels can be repainted and the vehicle will still receive CPO certification.
