We've tested with open air elements vs panel filters and found no difference. Airboxes will most likely provide zero gains on this platform.
Here's a couple of runs on MAP3 vs MAP7. Albeit the lower peak numbers, MAP3 holds the power from 5000RPM a bit longer:
It's a work in progress and we're seeing great results in little time. It will only get better.

What kind of gains can be had with just the filter replacements?
