I think it's the radars that shut off momentarily, laser shifters do not u have to tap the mute button 2X to shut shifter off. The instructions are hidden in the manual, i had to read it carefully to find it the second time. I'll check the pg # next time to let u know.
Apparently, laser is usually targeted @ the headlites for reflectivity, so close to the headlites is best.
Control unit can be below the start engine button& next to driver seat htr. buttons.
That way the steering wheel covers it when someone stands over the side window, but u can still reach it.
The control module wire is pushed thru the seam between the vent louvers & start button dash panels.
