Did you see the recent Leno Garage with the RingBros sedan? Where some Panhard or track-rod was rubbing on a coil spring? The ownership experience on customs may be very repair intensive and not sure it's worth it.
Singer is very nice but that's a price no object project, and I worry that in twenty-years Carbon-fiber body paneled custom cars aren't going to retain their value.
But depending on definition of custom car builder I'd like a total restore by Whitepost on a prewar Alfa, maybe Mercedes Benz Classic do a cabrio, or Porsche Classic do a 914-6 or one of the rare 924/944 Carrera GT's with the Perspex Windows and modded turbo engines.
