I have matte black wheels, black side gills and black badging on my space gray M. I think it looks damn good, obviously. You can see pics in this thread:

I didn't have the black badging on the back yet in the pics, but it looks good. I got them from IND.
I have heard that the chrome roundel surrounds are impossible to get off, so you either have to have them professionally painted or rattle can them yourself. To me, the roundel is sacred. I will just leave them the way they are as the loan bits of chrome on my ride.
FYI - I believe the F14's come in black. No need to spend extra money to powder coat them.
