My 2011 X5d is approaching 2 years and 21K miles, and I just ordered a new set of tires. Mine came with the 19" Bridgestones, which by most accounts are the worst of the OEM tires, but I guess in terms of longevity they're not too terrible. The rear tires aren't too terrible, but the front tires are nearly bald on the outer edge. An alignment 5K miles ago might have prevented this, but neither the dealer or I noticed it until recently.

I'm replacing them with the Continental 4x4 Contact SSRs (RFTs), and will be getting a proper alignment when they are mounted. I'd like to think that these tires could last more than 20k miles, but I'm not going to count on it.
