Removing the bumper and inspecting any hidden damage is a must. It is possible some of the metal structure is damaged or bent and it will need to be addressed as well. Seriously doubt there is any damage underneath I got rear ended at about 35mph and this is what it looked like with bumper cover removed ...these cars are solid!
