I can only tell you my experience with it on the ice an snow from our latest winter blast. Because the M has so much more power, you can lose the back end a little faster but it seems to recover very well. I dont "feel" the front end grabbing; it just seems to be very smooth in its power adjustment and recovery without much lag or lack of response.
Coincidentally, an X6 5.0 was behind me this morning. He seemed much more cautious around some of the icy turns whereas I did not feel any lack of traction with mine. But dont read too much into this; just an observation
