Yes, the date code is stamped on the post. Don't have to pull it out (see pic).
Oh, and when you find on what date the battery was replaced ... keep in mind that Original BMW parts have a 2 year 24K (or unlimited?) mile warranty on parts and labor! The mileage warranty period changed at some point in the not too distant past ...
