BMW PlugIn is the implementation of Apple's "Ipod Out" capability built into iOS4. It facilitates the iPod controls and features on the Nav screen, but does require the optional iPhone Media cradle adapter. Things like genius lists, shuffle,etc. are controlled via iDrive just like on an iPod.
