I have not heard anything about the LED headlight and LED tube tailights, but I think it is very likely that it will be in the next (2012?) X6.
I can see that the older style is being slowly changed out in the other models: X3, X5, 5 series, 3 series....so I think X6 must be next in the list...
I wish they don't make it too hard for us to retrofit
