These are available with the new x6 as an option from April 2011 (Europe). Am sure it can be a retrofit, but it could be costly (as zerranotss noted). Not sure whether you would need to change all 3 seats or just the middle portion. It would also require changing the car specs (again, at least in Europe), as the car papers list how many occupants can the car take.
