I'm going to research the oil temp valve.
I use my X5M to tow a travel trailer. I noticed that frequently in Colorado my oil temps rose a lot, I belive to about 3/4's what is that about 270F.
I think these cars would benifit from lower operating temps. After replacing every oil seal on this engine....
Anyway the normal coolant temp is about 95C not sure if a lower temp thermostat will make a difference.. Yes they have 105C thermostats, but all of them are ECU controlled and the X5M works to keep the car at 95C.
