Seriously, I'm all for aesthetics as much as the next guy, but it has to be functional, and safe. If the braking system is not matched, you could put too much braking effort up front, and the rear lifts, and you have oversteer. Or too much in the rear won't lock up the brakes with ABS and such, but will make the car most likely INCREASING braking distances. Which is counter intuitive to this whole exercise.
This may be out of your comfort zone (Let alone digging up this info painful), but there are online calculators to calculate brake bias, when knowing the piston sizes, rotors, etc you can see what will happen as you change things.
