Tread depth is very low on the 20" sport tires that's for sure. Make sure wheel alignment is correct. Watrob from this site suggested high air pressure which I am now running and I cannot see any downside, but will have to wait a while to report on wear. My original Dunlop SP's were (for me at least) the worst tires ever because they were noisy and very fast wearing. Currently running 20" Bridgestone RFT's and so far so good.

I also dont think dealers are very good at dealing with tires and alignment. A tire shop is better although you need one that doesn't just say "Oh yeah X5's chew through tires"..........yes we know.

The real issue is the fact that sport tyres are designed for lighter cars - 19"/20" low profile is for show right? There has to be some downside.
