Unfortunately for all of us waiting on the 2012 x5 diesel, looks like we won't be getting the 40d. They didn't come out and say it, but sounds like they may be keeping the 6-speed transmission as well.
I can't discern a reason for the delay on the 2012 Diesel. The changes seem to be related to how they market the vehicle (i.e. standard features). Floormats are now standard for the x3, x5, and x6.
Maybe there's more information to come?
Looks like the x6 gets some nice new details...but I'm still favoring the x5 diesel.
