I had the same problem as you did but BMW was not able to find the cause. I did, however, found out how to get rid of this problem. ( at least for my x5.)
Try this...
Before you start the car, press the start/stop button once to activate the accessory mode then start the engine/car by pressing the start/stop button again and pressing the gas pedal. The nav screen should light up.
Let me know if this works.
