Was the car sold to someone after being CPO'ed? Or was it sold in auction after staying on the dealer lot? If its the former, then you probably still have some CPO coverage left. Otherwise, it is likely that the dealer pulled CPO certification before selling it in auction.

BTW, cars CPO'ed prior to 2014 should have no problem transferring, even if bought from a non-BMW dealer (and non-private party transaction).
