It's funny, when you look at how much some of these options really cost at the manufacturing level. The programing is already done, the tek is available by simply checking a box on a computer screen, which basically indicates there is $0 additional cost to the manufacture (i.e., 100 percent profit).
But, if they hold it back, someone will pay extra buck$ if they really want it. They drive the consumer with the mean$ into the next cost category and higher profit$ for BMW.
