Cracked vacuum line on X5M

Anyone had this issue yet?

A crack vacuum line above the turbo chargers. Engine malfunction message, car stalls, had to get it flat-bedded to the dealer.

Seems kind of stupid for BMW to put a brittle vacuum line right above the turbo chargers.

My X5M is only 2 years old with 34,000 miles.

Unrelated, but I am curious to know have anyone removed the engine top cover to help dissipate the heat generated by exhaust from the inner V area?
