I am no car manufacturer or engineer. But I know that there is so much potential in every engine when they are stock.
Car makers reduce the power of the engine on purpose for marketing reasons, prevent high emissions and so on. Thats why a good chip tuning doesn't harm your engine while boosting the power up.
